Gage's 1st Golf Tournment....

So Gage played in his 1st Golf Tournament on Saturday with my mom. They did a wonderful job and I couldn't be more proud. They played 18 holes which kinda of surprised me because that is alot for adult golfers much less the little kids. I don't look for this to be the sport of choice for Gage but I am glad he is getting to experience it.

Never Ends.....

Yeah so on top of all the female issues I am having my permanent crown came off during a Zumba class last Thursday, mind you this was supposed to be a "free" class but with this little tooth incident it is proving to most definitely not be "free." So my dentist tells me I have two options seems to be the pattern these days, my ob doctor told me the same thing! Anyway, first option is to have an implant put in, which is not covered by dental insurance because it is considered to be "experimental" although they have been doing them for over 25 years, go figure! Or the second option is to have a post put in and then they build up the crown around that and insurance does pay for part of that but my dentist doesn't think that I will get more than 5 years out of this. So eventually I will have to have an implant put in but the question is do I want to do it now or later? I chose to go with the post in hopes that if I can get 5 years out of it maybe dental insurance will cover some of the implant when the time arrives to put one in. When it rains it pours I tell ya!

Why do things have to be so difficult....

Ugggg, I am desperately needing a career change. Course choices are limited in this relatively small town I am in...So I guess I will just suck it up and move forward!!!

Little Girls say the funniest things.....

So Renly and I are sitting in the recliner this morning she watching her cartoons me enjoying my morning coffee and she starts rubbing my boobs. This is a new thing that she has started doing not sure why but she does it. So I tell her "Renly don't do that." She looks at me and says " I want to rub your Hippos!" I look at her and say "Those are not Hippos." And she looks at me matter factly and says "Yes those are your Hippos." Given that she is only 3 I decided to drop it and let her go on believing that boobs are in fact "Hippos!"

I just don't understand.....

I am sitting here in my office listening to Fox news and they are reporting on a mother that left her infant daughter in the car for 7 hours, yes 7 hours while she went bar hopping, yes I said bar hopping...What the hell....How does this happen? She told police she thought her daughter was with her father. She "thought" she was with her father, does she not remember that she left her in her car seat in the car in 100 degree weather.. I don't understand how a mother can forget that their child is in the car with them. This little girl lost her life because her mother is an idiot....You hear about this stuff happening all the time and I just don't see how parents let this happen. I understand that we are all busy and we all have tons of stuff on our minds but our kids should be our priority no matter what. Ok I am off my soap box for now.....Till I hear something else on Fox news that ticks me off!

Proud Mama

Yesterday was the last day of the Fred Rike Basketball Camp and they had an awards ceremony. So me, my mom and my grandma went to support Gage. As they started handing out awards I was starting to see a pattern, all the awards in Gage's age division were going to the same little boy, which was ok because he is in Gage's class but it was kind of frustrating too. Until Coach Rike announced the Best Defensive Player award at which time he called out Gage's name. Me and my mom started hooping and hollering like a bunch of idiots but I was so proud and actually shocked. Not because I don't think Gage is a great basketball player but because the awards were all going to the same little boy prior to this one. I was not at all surprised that Gage received this particular award because we all know that he is an aggressive sportsman no matter what sport it is. As soon as the awards ceremony was over we walked out and Gage ran and immediately wanted to call Brady who was very proud that Gage received not just an award but especially that award. Gage thought he received it because he blocked one of Colton's (which is the little boy that won all the other awards) shots but I think it was because of more than just blocking that one shot! Needless to say I am a very proud mama...Next up, Flag Football.....
